Sell the points no problem. I am somewhat reluctant to let any of starter cover go. I have plenty of saws that are missing them. However I have few good loads of parts coming in, if there are more I will sell you one for your saw. I would love to see one on there to finish that beauty.

I understand on the starter cups completely. haha NOS ones are hard to find. PM me how much you want for the points and we can go from there. Thanks Scott!
Haha. Lookin sharp bud.. I have begun another resto thanks to you lol... But... I have your points needed here ...hate to brag but i had to show my stack of nos starter cups.
If you do use a hammer, use a plastic one, on a plastic anvil. A plastic hammer will not leave marks, even in aluminum. If you use a steel hammer there will be lots of little dents to fill or sand.

Man, that's a monster and should be fun to try even just once. Used to have couple of Stihl 090AV's and they sounded like a large cc Skidoo when running.

Best half work day in the world when you come home and find DECALS!!! in the mail box! I literally jumped and ran to the house and yup....painting parts. lol

Parts needing decals had been blasted already minus the starter cup. Did the best I could with the cup and a round body hammer. Not to bad for a newb at body work. lol Happy enough for now. Primed and painted parts....let dry and installed decals. Now time for clear coat!

Thanks guyz! Put 2 light coats of clear down to seal in the decals. After that sat for about 20 minutes I put 2 Heavy coats down for protection. Outta work out nicely. Working on clearing in the starter cup now. On the 1st light coat. 3 more to go! I've found that you can put this clear down really heavy and it tends to come out smoother. Liking that!

Yah, laying it on heavy as you said, best to give it a full day or more cure time to fully harden. Can always low temp bake them in an oven too but best to make sure the Mrs. isn't home, then deny that you smell anything later...
Looking great. Can't wait to see it assembled and posing for pictures.

For sure, I gave the previous painted parts about 3 days before I touched them and still no scratches.....minus the one that happened last night when a screwdriver slipped....ahem....not gonna talk about that one. lol
I'm excited to see it together to! Hoping at least the points will show up soon so I can get it running. Eager to do some cuts with it to.

Well people this evening was not without progress...bout 20 minutes till midnight....had a busy day at work and a rather rough afternoon after that so an evening in the shop by myself has temporarily cured my state.
I'll let the pictures do most of the explaining. Thanks to Leon for having the parts ipl's on his sight so I can pull them up to see were all the spacer washers go! haha
It's getting so dern close I'm in that....want to hear it run REALLY bad stage. lol Points on the way from Scott(Thanks buddy!) so when those arrive I'll probably have it running that evening. haha
