My 245 is .325 pitch, and had two bar plates, could only having one on yours cause binding of the chain when you tighten the nuts?

No,my problem was that everything on the saw was mis-matched.The previous owner had a .325 sprocket,a 3/8 .050ga.bar,& an .058 ga.chain.I changed the sprocket to 3/8 lo pro,kept the bar the same & got a new lo pro 3/8 .050 ga.chain & now it runs beautifully. Ed
