It sounds as if you guys are particularly interested in the 2000.
You should probably assemble a list of saws that you REALLY want and I will keep an eye out.
I have a program watching about 10 CL sites with keyword combinations. Keep in mind that sellers often have no idea what it is (except that it might say Homelite somewhere).

Bill, Zip, all, what is a 2000 runner worth?
I passed on Eric's 750 for $500 only to watch another one go for $700+ on epay.
The 2000 is a big beast that appears to be all work without the creature comforts of a 750.
D austin thanks for the heads up. on all the saws.
My personal list is short. I Want/Need a: 770GS. One of the XL's 12, super?[ I am unsure which model i desire. I had one (when young and dumb)and some metal failed internally and went away via the scrap pile. DUMBDUMBDUMB] 1130 I think? Gear drive bars comes out the center. I learned that hobbies need to be enbraced for what they are, Habits..... I research the model one at a time and then hunt them down.
The GS is next on my list, any saw with a shifter is a must have.

Redsqwrl,
I have the 770GS, 2000, 1100, 1130, 2100, 3100 and many others. I see you are in east central WI. I know I have said it before but you need to come to one of our shows, I run 5 hrs to one so if you are in EC WI you should be much closer.

I am trying to find some shows by searching hot saw and also logging congress.
I found Klondike days in Eagle river MI. this February. Do you have any names or associations to search.
Are there saws for sale at some of these shows?

First as for a 750 I will be parting with one in about 3 weeks Next as for shows in Wisconsin. You need to look at the local shows. Some are Baraboo, Milwaukee, and Darlington

Be careful on that one... it looks like its missing the pin. Not sure how a pin from another set would fit on it. Dan

Pins are easy enough to have machined though. And really shouldnt be too expensive.

I have heard of the Baraboo show I will start with that one. Is the 770 forsale? The Baraboo show is a nice event. As for the 770GS I may part with one. A member asked me to hold one for him 2 years ago. He was going to buy it after Christmas 2006 I agreed but he never followed through. I will try to post a pic of one of mine at a GTG this past fall. Do I smell a banana ;D. Nice looking saw Bill, but the thumb position on that grip is certainly looking a bit "monkey" to me. Hope that's not habitual. I realize you're cookie cuttin' and in play mode here, but safety first !

Are you in 'high' or 'low' Bill? Do you happen to know of any GTG's around my neck of the woods? I have never been to one, and seeing pics from them makes me want to go. Hello Zip, I do not know what gear I am using in the picture. As for GTG's in your area I do not know of any but there is a US Axemans show down there. Bill
