Picked this up several weeks ago. I believe it's a chainsaw vise. Not sure who made it, but it holds a chainsaw perfectly.

I got a couple of these in a lot I picked up a couple years ago. Just another design alternative; I don't think it is quite as versatile as some of those posted above.

I use me all the time too, it makes it so easy to get the right angle on whatever is being worked on. Mine is stiff enough that starting a saw on it is very easy. Of course there is a puddle under my vise most of the time, all the oil for the bar falls in the same place on the floor!

Ihave been looking for one of those for a long time they were made bye tilton they wewe advertized in my old chainsaw age magazines.great find
