Two of the .22s were mine, I paid $20 each for them. One is a Marlin Glenfield semi-auto tupe feed, This brings back memories... The first gun I ever bought (pecan money) was a Marlin Glenfield with the tube feed. Was sometime in the 70s and I believe it was around $60 or so. It was a decent little squirrel gun. I'm usually reaching for the 10-22 though and can't even remember the last time I fired the Marlin. Dan

.40 S&W = .40 Short and Weak C'Mon man, I could have got the 9mm cheaper. This cheer has about 25% more power than that atleast. Their supposed to come out with a .45 soon, I may move up, I dunno. The ballistics tests I saw showed the .40S&W to penetrate 12" into ballistics medium. Their site claims this gun is good for +P and also +P+ ammo........ I just want it to shoot good.

I shoot Wolf ammo out of a chink SKS, seems to be good stuff. I might stay away from S&B though, had very mixed results from their handgun ammo, I have a Firestar in .40, S&B was the only ammo that it ever jammed on, my 380s didn't like it either. I think that .40 would be a dandy carbine round, flatter shooting than 45 ACP, but not as cheap to shoot as 9mm.

.40 S&W = .40 Short and Weak YUP!!! There is a better cartridge, it's just longer, already out there! I heard a lot of good things about those guns as well. Supposed to be one of the best built "cheap" guns on the market. Nice score!

I cringed when I watched that. What a moron. He's lucky he didn't blow his head off, spinning that thing around by the trigger. Isn't that where the safety is on a Glock? Maybe someone should tell him to lighten up the action on his trigger and then try to spin it. Some day that fellow will get a Darwin Award.

Does anyone have any experience shooting black power? What I want to do is shoot PRB's(patched round balls) through a fast 1:24 twist barrel , 1:24 barrels are meant for conicals, PRB are meant to be fired through a 1:66 or 1:43 barrels. Anyone done this? I know I'll have to drop my power charge, but I don't know how much. BTW it's a .50 cal. I'm only trying this to save money, I'm cheap. I was shooting 245g. power belts, but the price is outrageous. I thought about mini balls, but then thought why not PRBs? CSW

billg, Black powder is as simple as it gets. A lot of buds shoot the new stuff w/ the pellets but my old CVA Hawken replica .50 still shoots better than most of theirs. For the best accuacy I only shoot 60 grains of ffg. It'll outshoot some of their scoped fancy gear at 100 yds. most of the time! I've got an old .45 cal. flintlock that I shoot round balls out of but the spark on it isn't reliable enough to hunt with. Here in NC we get an extra week of black powder season before rifle season. This year they changed the regs., extended archery season and they are allowing crossbows for anyone now! I just became a saw nut but I've been called a gun nut for a long time. I don't plan to part with any of them, but I've got most of you wish list on the start of this thread. season.

RBW. That looks similar to my Mossberg mariner 590. Mine doesn't have the ghost ring sight and I took the speedfeed stock off and put a folding Butler Creek on it. The mariner has a special coating on the steel for corrosion resistance and looks like stainless but it isn't.

Hah, nother Mossberg fan!
Mine is a 590A1. I like the Marine coat ones, but this only comes in Basic black and will match any outfit. ;D

I tried working up loads with this combo in a T/C carbine years ago and gave up later than I should have. I just recently picked up a nice Numrich H&A underhammer BP rifle with .45 & .58 cal.barrels! Cant wait to shoot it!
