I’m trying to diagnose a no power condition for this model. I’ve watched and searched for several hours and haven’t seen one quite like this one. The story is that it worked for about 3 hours and then stopped producing power. It went to a service shop and they replaced the capacitor with no results. I’m wondering where to start. Nothing is visibly wrong, but I’m unsure what wires go to what. I have a red, black, brown and white. Along with 2 yellow. The outlets are on the end of the generator side, with the bearing behind a cap. Could really use some advice on where to start besides spinning a drill backwards. Lol

This generator is a little newer than we’re used to but we have a lot of members with extensive electronics experience.
Have you put a voltmeter on the outlets to see if any voltage is being generated at all? That would be a good place to start.
Traditionally red/black would be hot, white would be neutral. I’m not sure about the brown wire. If the unit was working one minute and not the next and the wires haven’t fallen off or broken, I don’t think the wiring is the issue

It has .707 volts coming from the 120v outlet.

I can share pictures of what the wires coming from the winding look like, if I can do that on this forum

As for the history of the unit, it was given to me because they couldn’t figure out the issue. I did not purchase it new,. What I was told by a second hand informant is all I know. I never spoke with the person that it failed on, so I’m not even sure of that story.

It may be helpful in finding a wiring diagram and parts list. Added info: No output power may be caused by a shorted Bridge Rectifier.
