How long of a bar can be put on an EZ? Spotted one with case coming up on local auction. Looks like it has a 14 to 16 inch bar on it now. I know the owner to take care of his stuff and saw looks great.

If you're talking about the smaller EZ,about 38ccs,then 16 in.would be the limit. There's another larger EZ from back in Homelite's early days that was used in the logging industry that can take a much longer bar.(Acres' site doesn't have it listed)

I've heard of guys putting 20 in.bars on the SEZs,but that's really pushing it,after all it's only a 41cc saw.Leave it at 16 in.& don't go any bigger. The 16 in.will tear through just about anything you can throw at it & it'll do it with ease.Just make sure your oiling system works & you keep your chain sharp. The SEZ had a bar mount all it's own,but an Oregon D196 will work too.I've heard people say that a D096 will work, but I tried one here just about a week ago & I couldn't get the tensioner pin to catch in the adjuster hole.Neither the pin nor the adjuster hole on the bar was worn. The SEZ is my favorite Homelite small saw (if you consider 41cc to be small)

Ok,thanks for the advice.I agree a 16 inch bar like it may have is all it should have on it.

Here is a Super Mini with a D196 mount bar. Not a Super EZ but close. Maybe a little big but it looks cool. Super Mini LH by Clasec, on Flickr
