I’m new to these old chainsaws but caught the bug after getting my Dad’s mid 80’s Poulan 3800 running great after 20+ years of being poorly stored. The old Homelites caught my eye and I recently scored a very nice blue and white XL-12 that, based on the serial number, is a 1971. Didn’t take much to get it running and it runs, looks and sounds great. I’m trying to identify the correct cork gasket for the gas cap as it leaks a bit. There seems to be a variety of caps used. Mine is black, 6 sided with oil to gas mixture instructions on it and it threads down into the tank. It has a silver vent inside and 3-4 coarse threads. The gasket ID is approx 1.2”, OD is approx 1.5” and width is about 0.15” . Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you! That does look like the correct parts list. I like the idea of an I ring and will look at picking one up to try out.

The later Homelite parts said 695091 was changed to UP-0653. My inventory list says I have several of these. chainsawlady.
