This Super Mini will need a bit of elbow grease to turn it into a runner.I got the saw today & first thing I did was check for spark,it did have spark & it has the well known blue module.I noticed the recoil was acting kinda weird,so I pulled the starter off & found that there was a mounting screw missing for the module.I'm surprised it had spark with the module moving around. The other thing that concerns me is the manual oiler system is missing the plunger assembly, the check valve,& the oil supply line has been cut.I have all the parts needed to put it back together, but I'm wondering why it was taken apart to begin with.I'll need to take a closer look at it in the a.m.It's also missing the bar plates.

I've got a bit of an odd ball here with this Super Mini. This saw was never equipped with a manual oiler,it's an automatic oiler only. The boss for the oil pump plunger has no threads in it & the metal oil supply line that's there to go to the bar pad is blocked off.I didn't know there were any Super Minis that were made with auto oiling only. It's like they used a carcass for an XL-1 & then put the Super Mini decals on it.This is a Terry made saw, maybe that can shed some light on it. I pulled the carb on it today because I couldn't get it to draw any fuel on it's own.The carb is doubtful if it'll work again even after rebuilding it.The circuit plate gasket was adhered to the bottom of the carb like it was glued in.I had a helluva time getting it all out.Chances are it needs a new check valve. I also did a compression check & it came in at 150 psi.The piston & cylinder are in great shape,as is the rest of the saw. Edit:I just went out & read the UT # 50125 & then looked it up on 5terry's list. The saw I have is NOT a Super Mini,it's an XL-1!Someone put a drivecase cover & recoil on it from a Super Mini. So,I got another XL-1.

Lots of mix and match on the XL-1/Super Mini saws here. I see them wearing each other's covers/components often. Decomp , rubber front/rear grips or manual overide pump on the later red xl-1ao point to mix and match. Easy and convenient to build hybrids.

Does the cylinder have a decomp valve?

Yes,it has a decomp valve.I've come to the conclusion that it's a Super Mini with an XL-1 rear handle replacement. So,I'm back to having a Super Mini/XL-1 hybrid as Corey stated. Now I can convert the saw into a SEZ,all I have to do is change out the rear handle again.Lol (and it'll be back to having a manual oiler again)

I have to update this thread. The saw DID have a decomp valve on it,but apparently whoever was the genius that worked on it tapped the valve boss & put a bolt in it thereby plugging it & most likely ruining chances of returning the decomp valve back to the saw.The saw definitely WAS a Super Mini at one time, but it must've met with catastrophe & had to have the reart handle replaced.I don't know what happened to the metal oil line that goes to the oil pad for the bar, there's nothing there. The oil supply line hose is gone & the fitting coming out of the tank is still there, but with no hose on it.I think this saw will have to go back to the seller.
