So I thought my saw was finished and for all intent and purposes it was but it started to have issues. I took it apart again and found that the cylinder was NFG but the new piston and rings were fine. I received the new cylinder from Joyce and installed it along with the new base gasket. The saw is running rich now to protect the new cylinder for a few runs then I'm going to pull the muffler again and do a visual to keep an eye on it.

I ran about 8 tanks at 24:1 in my XL-130 during new engine break in. I let it run at a idle for 30 minutes before cutting with it. Cut small stuff for the first tank. Ran it heavy on the Hi needle for the entire 8 tanks. It hardly cleared up from 4 stroking until it cut some thicker stuff.
Stepped it up to 32:1 for couple tanks, now 40:1. So far so good.

I read the card and I guess the owner is responsible for break-in. So I should run 20:1 for 2 gallons first.
