Hey All!Been working on some saws!I've got a Homelite 150 Automatic no spark,pulled flywheel and wow!Keyway in the crank is all walloed out,bout twice the size of the key!Any fixes or is it now a parts saw,got another one with spark and fair compression,havent pull flywheel on that one.What say you.

I've got a saw with the same problem,but not quite as bad as yours.Mine is a non-Homelite,so I haven't brought that up here,but I'd be interested if there was a cure for this problem.I know if you try to JB Weld it it won't stay in there for long.The only other alternative that I can think of is change the crankshaft,not an easy job.

150s are a very common saw. You could either find a parts saw to donate the crank or make yours a parts saw. Sometimes you can luck out and find a very nice one for not a lot of money if you're patient.

If you're looking for a 150 for parts or to fix up I've got one that I'll let you have cheap.It has good compression if I remember correctly.I haven't popped the muffler to look at the piston & cylinder,but can do that if you're interested.

edju1958,that's a good offer,i think this will just be a parts saw,i have another one in lotts beter shape,going to turn my attention on that one,also have a 330 igotts to put back togerther.then a 240,i got the addiction too!
