I took a compression reading on my newly rebuilt XL130 after a 45 minute bench break in. I got a reading of 160 psi. Not sure if that is good or not......What’s the manufacturer specified compression range for the 58cc 100 series saws?
I see a list here on the website that has a lot of models listed but none of the 100’s.
Would the SXL AO compression range be the appropriate numbers for a Super XL130? If so I guess my compression is great on target.

The XL-76's I have are all very close to 170 except one which is at 180. My Super XL's are around 150.
If you have a new P&C on the saw it will take a few tanks through it at least to get the rings seated and get to max compression.
I would say you are in the ball park now.

As a general rule of thumb, I always figure 2-3 tanks of gas for proper break-in, and until that’s done you may not see the full compression readings. That being said in my experience I feel 160psi is good, especially with the fresh rebuild.

Just checked it again after a few tanks of fuel. Needle on the compression gauge sits at 170 +\-. Looks like it’s around the range of fossils XL-76’s.
It would have been interesting to check it when I had the aftermarket piston & rings in it for comparison.
