I have a few Oregon bars I would like help in identifying and any info on how to determine which saws and chains they are compatible with. Pretty new to servicing my own saws. Thanks for the help in advance. Oregon 240ssdd196 7784D s.amsu.ng/RxLH0jTjdI4N

I started with my Grandfather's Homelite 450 and Old EZ. I currently have several Super XL, 3or4x XL12, 3x SXLAO, 3x Super Ez, 4x SXL 925, 750, 650, 550, 2x 450, 360, 340, 1050, an old geared model I'm not sure of, XL-2 and I'm sure I'm leaving one or 2 out s.amsu.ng/4EnPWV9kaSAN s.amsu.ng/XtBbUMoN4C9NGeared Saw, s.amsu.ng/HAE5vh2LA46Ns.amsu.ng/Wh4DDfB76PzN

Some really nice saws in there, well done!
240ssdd196 is not an Oregon part number I am familiar with. Using the typical Oregon code, 240 would indicate 24" length and 196 is the mounting style, aka D196/D096 which fits several Homelite saws, all the Super XL/XL-12 series. I'm not sure of the gauge/pitch with that number. I'd hang onto it though, Oregon has discontinued that mount so they are getting scarce.
