Its not much of a looker but its a runner. Didn't really do too much, put in a new fuel filter, good gas, cleaned up the plug and pulled the starter about a 100 times. Nothing. Adjusted the low and high carb settings to one turn out - fired right up. Even cut a bit of wood (after reversing the chain direction) - wood came out in long peels rather than chips - perhaps a sharpening would be good. Now, get a 30" bar and I'll be all set to use it as my 'big' saw. Thanks for listening, Steve. yfrog.com/1lxp10001jyfrog.com/5uxp10002j

In the pictures it looks to be in good shape. What size chain is on it?

It's always good to see another big saw in good hands.

Let me check tomorrow - I know there are numbers on the chain. Probably you can tell me from the numbers!

Chain currently on the XP is a Sabre, '24' stamped on the links going through the guide, three rivets are 13/16" spacing, so I guess that means 13/32".

Distance between three rivets, divided by 2.
You have .404 +- some stretch.
