I am new to this forum so I have probably displayed my ignorance by posting a request about finding a trick for the 925 XL fuel line coming from the tank in the trick section. Probably should have posted it here. I have a new fuel OE line but need a "trick of the trade" to get the in line grommet to seat without either breaking the fuel line by trying to pull it through or puncturing it by pushing it though with a small prod. Tried to pull it though with a bit of oil on the line, but I got chicken and did not reef on it. Thanks for any help

Last couple I did, I've used a tygon replacement with a seperate grommet. But if I recall, seems like there was a bit of effort getting a factory line on. Oiling definitely helps. I used a flathead screwdriver that was dull on the end to help work the grommet on as I pulled from the other side. Press in one spot to start it and then work around. Make sure its dull, preferably rounded over, so it won't cut the rubber.

Hi Ralph and welcome to HOH. On my 925 there is also a short copper line that runs from the carb housing along side the saw and eventually connects to the fuel line that goes in the tank. I'm not sure that all the 925's are this way since I only have one and never worked on another.
On an interesting note, I purchased the 925 I have from a guy who said it only runs with the tank full and then quits. That is why he sold it. I thought, since I never had one, the coil was bad. Well, it was a broken gas line inside the tank. He never checked it etc.........Worked out well for me. Best of luck with that steady beast..........J
