So I live in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and I am a Homelite collector. Recently a gentleman posted an ad that he had 500+ homelite saws and was going to melt them down. Unless bought. So, I bought 500+ homelite saws. To save them. I cannot figure out how to post the pictures. But I will have saws and parts for years to come if anybody is interested. I would love to post the pictures. Probably more than 50 percent of the saws are completes. Xl-2,xl12, super xl autos, super xl 922, super ez, xl-1, xl-76,240,245 just to name some! It stuffed a half ton truck with a canopy!

Now that's what I call a score! Welcome to HOH! If I had the money & the space to store them & I was a few yrs.younger I probably would've done what you did.I'm surprised you were able to fit them all in one truckload. Ed

It is quite the haul eh?? Thanks for the welcome! I will make an attempt here soon to get the pictures put up. There were eight saws that did not fit in the back and had to go in the cab and rode shotgun with me haha! I am definitely not looking at hoarding all these for myself and would love to sell a lot of it for parts or completes. I am not going to lie I do have a bit of a pit in my stomach from the amount of saws there is! Haha!

You did a good thing by saving all those saws & I'm sure you'll make your money back & then some, but it may take some time to do it.I'm trying to figure out who or what was more priveleged by riding in the cab,you with the saws,or the saws with their savior.Lol Ed

Perfect! I needed that reassurance. I feel like I did a good thing too! Well I'm the one who felt privileged riding with the saws! I can still smell that rotten gas and bar oil and I love it! Even a little stain on the seat for good memories. Okay so here are some pictures I posted to Flickr. Hopefully this works I cannot figure out any other way to do this so here is the link. www.flickr.com/photos/186733956@N08/

Just out of curiosity how much did that haul cost, understand if you don't want to say!
Also are you married? Or at least for now?

That's pretty much all I have been doing! Since I got them four days ago anyway. I just stand back and look at them, and wonder what the heck I'm going to do. Well I have some ideas anyway. I am married! For now! The wife doesn't exactly know how many there are! And I am storing them in a shed she's never been in. I unloaded them at night haha. It was $2500 CAD for the haul. I'm glad people are happy that I saved them. He had already started melting down the carcasses so I didn't have much time. I will get more photos as time comes here. Right now I am just flustered. Thank you all for the comments!

Some of the interesting saws that are in there are the super xl 922, the vi 130. Some 330s and a few other weird ones.

In my opinion you did very well! Even if you sold everything for $10 apiece, you would double your money. We all know that the complete ones are constantly gaining value. Well done sir.

Yea for sure! I would be more than happy to part out a lot of these saws or sell them as complete. I did not buy these to make all kinds of money though. It was more or less to save them from being melted. I can definitely ship stuff to the states. I have done it through eBay already. But if there is anything people are after, and you just can't seem to find it, shoot me a message and maybe I can help you out in due time. And I would be more than happy to collect information for the database!
