Recently purchased an XL1 and it doesn’t have the correct bar on it. The bar is 16” and fits but the oil holes don’t line up, it almost seems like it is for a larger saw. Does any one happen to know the Homelite part number for an XL1 16” bar? I would like to put an OE bar on it but would settle for a aftermarket one if anyone knows a part number for one of those as well. Thanks

I tried a bar of a super EZ and it would not fit because of the spring clip that was on the bar studs, other than that it looked correct as far as oil holes. I thought about just removing the spring clip as I don’t see that would affect anything if I removed it.

If that is an S shaped clip that goes around both studs it is to allow a bar with a wider slot for bigger studs to fit the saw. Take if off if you like, it serves no other function.

Would a bar for a 150 be the same as a super EZ and this XL1? Thanks for the fast reply’s guys. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge on this forum for Homelites.

Not sure if you were set on an OEM bar or not but my Oregon reference book shows 160RNDK095 for the XL1 (as well as the SEZ), assuming its running a 3/8 pitch chain.
If you're unsure of the quality of the chain I'd replace it, a messed up chain can really screw up a new bar in short order. Years ago I purchased Oregon 29571 bar and chain combo for my SEZ and was happy with the quality and a pretty good price.
