Any one here at the HOH Buy the saw King's BOX o FUN?
I saw a part I needed in the pile, but could not justify shipping the scrap iron pile cross country.

I saw that stuff but passed it by figuring none of it was of much use. I am sure someone here bought it.

RS Yep, the shipping alone cost more than I'd be willing to pay for the couple odds and ends that looked useful. Surprized it went for as much as it did. Dan

I inquired with the Seller for another view to make sure the airfilter base in the back was actually the one I needed. I stated in my question if he would help me justify the shipping by only shipping the few parts I wanted. He figured the box would bring over $100 and shiping was fair. I respect that reply.
Any one Here successful??

He starts all his auctions at .99 cents. So he is not the one driving the prices as high as they go. It's the "Big Saw" mania... that all the toolsheds that bid too much too early end up driving the price up.

As you said he starts them out at $0.99 and let's them go. That takes some guts. The buyers are the ones that set the price. I have noticed though lately some of his saws having reserves on them, which is fine but he didn't used to do that. I have also seen a few that went back up again even after the reserve was met. I guess they were non-pays. Bill

Bill, I've found 'no pays' getting worse on ebay - Not just saws, everything. The seller is helpless now, can't even leave bad feedback on these jackasses.

The seller has the option to file a "non-payer" complaint (and re-list the item)just like the buyer has the option to file a "item not received" complaint against the seller. I agree that non-payers should be stopped but the old "I will leave positive feedback if you leave positive feedback" was just wrong.

What does ebay do to a non-payer? I can imagine a few cases that might be justified, such as no reply from a seller with an invoice, or a seller trying to change terms after the auction. I'd like to think a repeat non-payer will lose their account.

Dan, I think the non payer gets 3 strikes before their ID is kicked off. Nothing stops them that I know of from coming back with a different ID though. mikem - The non-payer complaint takes weeks to get though the process, but you have to do it to get your fees back. The auction ends, the buyer doesn't respond, it's a certain * of days before you can even file. Then more days to give them time to reply [even though they won't] At least 15 days all together. And, for all the, you can't even say "block this bidder, or cancel bids from this bidder" Thats the part I don't like. The more they change ebay, the less I use it.
