I have rebuilt a 923 and a few super XLs, I have a few SEZs that have carbon build up and need to be fixed, how does a SEZ rebuild compared to the 923 or the Super XL.

About the same unless you have big fingers. Everything is tight but well worth the effort. Light and nimble and surprising power for the size.

I have rebuilt a 923 and a few super XLs, I have a few SEZs that have carbon build up and need to be fixed, how does a SEZ rebuild compared to the 923 or the Super XL. Piece of cake, whole saw comes apart in about 5 minutes. Worst part is the early SEZ's had philips head screws that hold the fuel/oil tank to the crankcase and they're typically held in with thread lock. Hopefully, no one has tried taking it apart yet and the fastener head is still 100% and not buggered-up. Use a new #2 philips bit, a 3/8" ratchet (for extra torque) and alot of downward pressure. If they don't come out, you can drill off the thin flanged head and after pulling off the tank, easily remove the remaining stud with a vice-grip (and a little bit of heat if need be). These screws were later replaced with a #25 Torx-bit design which makes for easier removal. Good luck. Steve
