If you Google Craigslist cedar rapids Iowa and type in homelite, there's an ad with some saws. One of the saws appears to be a BLUE super 2. I've messaged the seller and that saw has been sold. Frown... I'm hoping one of you experts will look at this ad and give your opinion on the saw. Did they make such a thing?

I've never read or seen anything to indicate that there was a blue Super 2. I did one on special request a few months ago for a customer, but that was a custom job. It looks like someone else had the same idea!

I remember there being a Blue plastic-cased Super 2 or XL-26cc for sale quite a while back. It was in a lot of saws on craigslist or poss. ebay, and there was a discussion about the saws here at HoH. I remember commenting that if it was painted, a good job was done since it was plastic. Tried to search for that thread...no luck .

I bet that's what that one is. The blue one in the ad is magnesium cased, the other 3 are all plastic cased. But yeah, it's painted.

Funny years ago I had the idea to restore one of my super 2s and paint it blue. Guess others had the same thought!
