Been trying to get my 330 running to no avail. The carburetor is doing a better job pumping gas into the cylinder than metering it, 2-3 pulls and it hydro locks Anyone have a good source for a rebuild kit for it, Zama c1s-H3 69p. Here’s some pictures of how it’s set up Needle seals good, but if I set the metering level at what zama says it should be when applying the cap it seems to preload the metering lever open. Both tuning screws were set at 1 turn out. Looking for a good quality rebuild kit or maybe someone can point me towards a wall to that would fit. Thanks, Brennan

The best advice I know is to get rid of the Zama carb & put a Walbro on it.I've never had much luck with Zamas carbs & their rebuild kits are twice the cost of a Walbro. The last I knew there were a couple of Walbro carbs on Ebay, but be careful, there's a seller trying to pass off Zama carbs as Walbro carbs. Where are you setting the metering lever for height?
You are looking for an RB-3 kit. Try a Zama dealer, ebay etc

Check to see of the needle is sealing when the carb is all together, apply suction and then a little pressure to the inlet. If it doesn't seal, find out why.

Which Walbro would I be looking for? I’m going to pick up a 350b tomorrow that I think has a walbro so maybe I can check with that. I really don’t like Zamas either, had a few on some stihl and echo equipment and they got tossed for China walbro knockoffs. I had the metering lever set per zama instructions, level with the gasket surface, and I’ve dropped it down below as well with no luck. The needle is sealing

When you say gasket surface I assume you mean the surface of the carb body which would be correct. There are also Zama carbs where the lever is level with the metering chamber floor.

Yes it is set level with the carb body. I don’t think it would be possible to set it level with the floor but I will do some poking around

well the saw sat on a shelf and with enough saws parked for repair i decided this one needed to run and i figured out my issue. the P/O had installed the wrong metering diaphragm which had a nib that was to long. Dug through my ever growing pile of used gaskets and found that there appears to be two different gaskets, one shorter one longer, with the longer gasket being specified for the newer equipment and import copies. with the shorter gasket in there the saw now runs great with no flooding
