1980 Super EZ Auto didn't take much to get fired up! Dumped out the rancid fuel in it, put in fresh mix and bar oil, squirted some mix down the carb and she fired right up. Auto oiler works great. Need to get a new bar and chain as there isn't much sharpening left in the current chain and the bar is bent at the tip. Will be going with an Oregon bar and chain. youtu.be/T5ReN2EhnaI

Check with her anyway, she likely has whatever bar you want NOS.

Hello! This is my first post. I just took ownership of a 1980 (UT 10505A, Ser. No. 203110429) Super EZ Automatic. It belonged to my grandmother, than my father, now it is mine. Chainsaws are all new to me. Since you own the exact same year/model, was wondering if you would mind answering a question. On close inspection of my chain oil tank cap there is no vent of any kind, no passage from inside/outside the cap. The parts brochure (Part No. 24522-A Rev. 3) that Leon provides on his site (thank you Leon!) mentions a vented cap w/valve (not shown). Does your cap have a vent? With a duckbill valve and fixture? Would any more knowledgeable people on the forum have an idea? maybe this is an aftermarket cap? Or did Homelite revise the design.

If your cap otherwise looks like the proper one with just no vent, it is likely a 150 oil cap. Does it look like this one: www.leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com/store/p6520/NOS_Homelite_150_Chainsaw_Chain_Oil_Cap_A-68557.html

That's what I have. In the oil tank, near the top, running through the tank wall is a small 1/16" cotter key. I'm assuming a small felt pad is inside attached with the cotter pin? Would not want to have to change that! Thanks for responding all! I'm convinced it's a real Homelite unvented oil tank cap.
