I just picked up a Blue Homelite Super XL Automatic today. Serial number is 33121552. Any info about this saw would be greatly appreciated! It has a sticker for the serial number. Would that be a 1973? Attachments:

Would that be a 1973? Welcome to House of Homelite. That's a great deal you got for those 3 saws, especially the SXL-AO .. very nice condition. Manufactured: Thursday, November 8th, 1973, unit 1552 Yes, the bucking spike was optional. IPL's and Service Manuals all available here at HOH. Check out the SUPER XL & XL-12 Family Category thread..lots of info there.

This is the first larger Homelite and the oldest...and it doesn't need anything. (kind of a lousy project. LOL!)
Is "homelite_super_xlam_chainsaw_ipl_120913" the correct parts manual for the saw I have?

IPL 120913 is for a Terry built saw..similar ........ SXL IPL 24228 (rev.1-2) may be closer to your saw. If it doesn't need anything..you can always polish and wax the paint.
