I traded a non running omc lawn boy for it. I took it apart to clean and it was filthy. He said he had it running a while ago but had not touched it in a while. After cleaning and putting it back together it would not do anything. After removing the carborator I discovered a home aid gasket covering the impulse hole. I had a new replacement gasket on hand. I took apart the carborator and he had the gasket and manifold backwards. I set the needle hight hooked it in and bingo! She's a runner, just needs a bar and chain.
Imageshack and flicker both are having problems or I'd post a picture. I've already orderd a NOS air filter cover. Pictures to come!

Any suggestions on bar and chain? I'm thinking 24 inch. 24 inch works good. A 20 inch with an 8 tooth sprocket works great.

I put a 28 in.hard nose on mine & it doesn't even phase the saw a bit.Depending if your saw is 77cc or 82cc may be a slight difference maker (mine is 82cc).If the saw has good compression,it can handle up to a 36 in.B&C,but as you probably know, the longer the bar the more expensive it gets. Ed

Congrats, my Homelite-Terry List didn't have a 10415-A yet...... it does now. *UT:10415-A ( SUPER XL-925 ) SN:TC1250610 ..DOM: Tuesday, May 5th, 1981, unit 610, UT# last built in '81 Suggest the proper pull-start handle...the one on it is probably for a Super-2

Well I pulled the muffler and you can't ask for much more than this.

Always nice to see the piston with so little wear. Like opening a Christmas present and got just what you wanted.
Some of the parts repainted? Looks like a fingerprint in the paint top/center of that last photo. Threads are a bit buggered on that top muffler bolt too. May want to run a tap through it.
