So on a different thread about the carburetor I ran across an auto oiler not working. I quickly got to the root of that problem but then uncovered another. I guess I am doing well with just 3 925s running as the 4th is needed for parts. I removed the pick up tube and screen for the auto oiler and immediately found the tube to be clogged and the rubber line between the steel tube and screen was broken where it slips on the tube. I grabbed a parts saw off the shelf and removed the tube from it and all was good so I installed it on this one and auto oiler works fine now and carb has been tuned. My question here is, if I had not had a parts saw on the shelf with a good oil pick up line in it, could I use just tygon for this or would I need to find an NOS part or a different type hose?. The other problem I uncovered will fit in a different folder.
