Hello, I have a saw UT#104781 and was hoping I can find out if it's a XL or Super XL. The clutch side cover only shows the lower part of XL.
Regards, Al D.

Thanks for the info, why does it not show the #1 at the end, a manufacturing #?

Thanks for the information, so how would I find out what the component was that is added?

Thanks for the information, so how would I find out what the component was that is added? There’s no real way of knowing. The sixth digit was only used in the late 70’s for only a few years.

Thanks for the information, so how would I find out what the component was that is added? As undee70ss noted, there isn't any known explanation of the optional equipment, but thing like a carry case, woodcutters cut and branded PPE come to mind. Homelite had numerous promotions throughout the years and it's very possible that some of these add-on's were tied to UT #'s.
