Nice addition to the collection Clasec ! Mon Francais n'est pas tres bon.... (My French is not very good)..been near 40 years since taking classes at school. Loosely translated the can says: The contents of a dose cap poured into 1 Litre of gasoline give a mixture at 3.5%

3.5% would be about 28.5:1, that would lead me to believe the can is fairly old.
Great paperwork too, nice going.

Interesting. I took notice recently when looking at details of some of the older IEL Pioneer saws, I think on Mike Acres site, that they gave the mix as a percent instead of a ratio. Noticed it but didn't think much of it then. Now a little more.
From France or French Canada, it's still a very cool can. Should get that paperwork laminated for preservation. It's crossed the ocean at least once, probably twice..? Brings to mind an interesting question. Did Homelite actually make these themselves or had them made with their name? I'd guess the latter, but nothin but a guess.

...Did Homelite actually make these themselves or had them made with their name? I'd guess the latter, but nothin but a guess. I am sure your guess is correct, they would likely buy the can with the oil in it from the oil company most likely, or a 3rd party repackaging company who did it for a lot of other sellers. The outfit I work for does that very thing, let the contractor buy the can printing and filling machine, then just resell the product.
