I've got an SEZAO that apparently had a bad check valve in it.I pulled the one out that wasn't working & put another one in from a saw that I'd bought on Ebay. Now when I push on the maual oil plunger it pushes oil & air bubbles out at the base of the check valve. Were the check valves glued into the saw somehow? The check valves were all threaded into place...I think the inlet barb at the manual oiler on a SEZ was pressed into place.

If it is leaking at the threads a little thread tape it sealer should do the trick.

There are/were no threads on the check valve,it was pressed in.As I said earlier in the post,I put another check valve in & it's leaking oil & air bubbles at the base where it fits into the plastic housing. Ed

Possible a little sealant around the check valve would seal it up?

This saw (or another one I have) has another problem. The handle mount bracket is loose & when I took it apart to see why I couldn't belive what I was seeing (actually I could because I've seen a lot of mickey mousing on saws). One of the shoulder bolts was missing, apparently it was stripped out & they put a homemade helicoil in it along with a screw that resembles the one used to hold the recoil cover on.I'm hoping to put an actual helicoil in it with a new shoulder bolt (part # 64613A).I just need to know which helicoil I need,I couldn't find the thread size/count in the IPL. The 64613-A is 10-32 thread.

Hi all, keeping with the subject of SEZA oiler issues. The inlet tube of the pump body came out as I was disconnecting the rubber tubing. I'm sure this was pressed in and it appears there was a sealant at the connection. (The IPL ref; 24522A Rev3 pg6 #32.) My question is; 1). can this be repaired with a sealant and push the tube back in or should I look for another pump body? I did not run the saw when I first acquired it, there was a little scoring and some carbon build up inside, so I don't know how well the pump operated but it is not damaged. 2). On pg4 of the IPL it shows the rubber tubing (#10) from the oil tank to the pump but I don't see a grommet at the oil tank and my saw does not have one either. Should there be a grommet there? (Leon has a fuel/oil hose kit that has only 1 grommet for the fuel tank, so am I to assume the rubber tubing seals the opening in the oil tank?) This is a good little saw,, previous owner didn't keep it clean.... but very salvageable....

You should be able to press the barb back in and seal it with JB Weld, it's not a pressurized area, so you really just need it to be retained well and the seam covered. The oil hoses are designed to seal to the tank by themselves, the only grommet is on the fuel tank hose.
