I haven't checked yet. I have to rebuild the carburetor and change the lines and I think it will be runner so long as the coil is good. I've been cleaning the heck out of it but I didn't do my normal complete disassemble and clean. I will order some stuff on Friday then hopefully she will be good to go. Suggest checking for spark now, and doing some preventative maintenance on the module to perhaps prevent future failure.

What sort of maintenance can I do. I agree now would be the time.I thought these things just ran until they just stopped and then you replace them? I did read an article at leons about baking them in a toaster oven.

I believe he was referring to the baking method of resurrecting the ignition module. If not, I'm sure he'll jump back in and share more knowledge. The knowledge on this site is amazing.
Some more on the SEZ module. If you need one, I wouldn't go spend a fortune on a NOS Homelite part. When I overhauled my own SEZ a few years ago, it didn't have fire so I installed a NOS Homelite 94111 module that I had on hand. It ran a bit and quit. So I put on the last NOS 94111 that I had. It ran a couple of tanks of gas and quit too. The blue Prestolite ignitions were bad back in 80's when they were built, now there almost completely worthless, in my opinion. I plan to try baking all of them that I can round up, just haven't got around to it yet.
As a last resort, there's a source for a "new and improved" module. Standard Magneto in Wood Dale, IL (Chicago) sells a 94111 replacement as well as a 94605 replacement for the Super XL and their number is 1-800-MAGNETO. I don't know the cost yet but plan to call for more information.

Do you have to change the flywheel when using one of the standard magneto?

Do you have to change the flywheel when using one of the standard magneto? If you're replacing a Homelite 94111 electronic ignition (blue Prestolite), the standard magneto product would be a direct bolt on.

Yes, the flywheel and magneto/module must match. Points flywheel with points coil, etc.
