Ed, I'm not 100% sure its actual Tygon brand hose, but it certainly seems to be equivalent. I get it at the local Ace Hardware by the foot, they call it "Micro Fuel Hose". They have 3 different sizes I think and only about $0.99 /ft so pretty reasonably priced.

I'll say it's reasonably priced.I went to my local saw shop about a month ago to get some fuel line there. It wasn't even ethanol resistant & he charged me $2.99/ft.Needles to say I didn't go back for more. Ed

I stopped fooling around with buying small pieces of fuel line years ago, I now just buy 25-50 foot rolls in the popular sizes

Got the carb rebuilt and reinstalled. It was actually in very good shape in comparison to the rest of the fuel system. Tomorrow have to reinstall the muffler and air filter and should be making a test run

Got everything put back together today, came out pretty nice It's always a little nerve racking when you go to start a saw you've gone through so deeply. I filled it up with some fresh fuel and pulled the cord, after about 5 times it popped! I dropped to 1/2 choke, pulled, and the pull cord broke. Figures the one thing I did not replace. Replaced the pull cord gave it a pull and it lit right off! After a couple minutes of adjusting got it running pretty solid. A couple things I've noticed- the thing has a LOT of compression. If you try to "drop start" it, it'll about rip your shoulder out of its socket. I need to get a new comp gauge but I wouldn't be surprised if I was pushing 180psi. Also, this thing is a beast! I buried it in a "T" post I had laying around and it went like a hot knife through butter- no bogging of the engine at all. Of course, the obligatory video www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK8oisparUk

Thanks guys!
The air filter nut is stripped, so I have a new one en route. That should put the finishing touches on this project.
Also, I may need to make sure everything is good and readjust the carburetor. My idle speed adjustment is almost all the way out (tip of the screw just barely touching the plate), and it still idles a little high for my liking.

Another is you may have the low mix adjustment set to lean. Richen the low mix some to bring the idle speed down.

Thanks undee.
I think you are correct I was set a bit lean at first. After richening the L speed by about 1/8 turn I was able to get to idle pretty good (as in video). I may need to richen a bit more.
My first check will be to make sure there are no air leaks however!

That piston looked to me like a cold seizure from starting it and cracking the throttle wide open before the cylinder had any heat expansion time! But the piston got hot real fast and got to large for the bore and did a chunky monkey on it!And the gouge in the cylinder looked like the wrist pin retaining clip came out and got wedged between the piston and cylinder!😉
