Can't seem to get my photos to stick to the thread. Roofing nails and a good hammer.

iPad, need to try with smaller photos, too many MB. Will see if I can shrink my photo format.

iPad, need to try with smaller photos, too many MB. Will see if I can shrink my photo format. The easiest way by far is to used Taptalk ( free in the App Store). It is a app for forums like this. After getting the app, add House of Homelite to it. It’s super easy to use, and you can post pics either by taking new ones, or from your photo library. When you upload a pic, it gives 3 choices on resizing, I always use the medium one. ( one in the middle). If you need help setting it up, just ask.

Nice idea, this whole thing with the forum has this old dog learning new tricks. Some with the saws and the other with the computers.

What I started out to do was to winterize a couple more saws, take a few pictures. Changed the fuel to "canned" fuel and made sure the bar oil reservoir is filled with winter weight lube. Got the pics, finished the work on the saws, now I need to know what makes these iPads' tick. Wife won't let me take the back off and dig into it. The work was done on my 550 and one of the last to be brought home, an XP1130. The latter is in great shape, just filthy, only one broken screw. Will stay at the stumbling blocks.

Those iPads definitely work better with a hammer & nails.
To a large extent, I don't "winterize" my machines cause they stay in pretty regular use all year round. Used to switch over to winter grade bar oil but the green stuff I've been using is just one grade, super thin in any weather.
Only thing I tend to do seasonally is to spread a few saws around when storm season comes. Last time I had all my saws in the shed, Superstorm Sandy dropped an Oak against the shed door and I had to cut my way in with an axe & a one/two man crosscut. That Oak was just the first of 14 trees I needed to get too. Just another reason for having lots of saws around...

The 550 is a great runner, the XP1130 needs a closer look. Has been tucked in a corner for a long time. Was a good day to tinker, run the toys and take a few pictures.

Very much the easier way, less steps, and the size option helps get you to the end result. I bought the 550 and a Super EZ new about a month apart in the early 80s. Was close to pulling the trigger on the "new" 410 when I changed occupations, went to work in the natural gas industry. Ordered the 550 just the way you see it, double bucks, full wrap, and a 28" SP. Ethanol ate up all the soft parts, so I went through it.
