I picked up a Super 2 a couple of mo.ago & today I decided to tear it apart to find out why it wouldn't stay running.I found a broken fuel line even before I had the engine out of the case. After cleaning up the carb I found that it's a Zama, but I couldn't find a model # anywhere on it.I did find the #'s H15 stamped on the bottom of the carb on the upper left side followed by 25G on the other side.Is that the model? (H15). Ed

I believe per the IPL the carburetor should be a C2S-H5. Rebuild kit RB16.

That's the same kit that's used in the Zama that goes on the same carb that goes in a Mac 610,only those carbs are much bigger.Lol Who'd have ever thunk it?Now hopefully I can rebuild the carb tomorrow after I get home from the doc.I'll just need some new fuel & oil lines & I'll be good to go.You know what size I'll need?

The best size I've found that fits is Tygon 3/32" ID X 3/16" OD. They sell it by the foot at my local hardware store. I find it helps to use a heat gun or similar to warm up the ends when installing, it makes it easier to work with especially if you're in a colder climate. Also, it is a pain in the ... to get through the holes in the tanks. I find it helps to use vaseline or similar and cut the end at a sharp angle.

That was my next question Rowdy, you must be reading my mind - how to get the lines into the tanks.Lol They're a fairly tight fit. It'd be bad enough with just one line, but there are two! I use a blow dryer to warm up the lines when it cold out,it works like a charm,& ya don't have to worry about getting too hot & melting the lines. They sell it here at the hardware stores by the foot too. Thanks! I picked up 4 ft of the fuel line for the Super 2 today,(I have more than one Super 2 to repair) that's as far as I got to working on it.The weather was rain free today for a change,so I figured as long as it's "nice"out I'd put another load of wood in the basement.Tomorrow is the same thing, but I must stack the wood that I put down today first.I can work on the Super 2 when it's pouring rain all weekend.I'm getting itchy to get it back together, believe me. I know this isn't related to the carb, but it's related to the Super 2 I'm working on.When I was taking the engine out of the case I noticed that I'd have to pull the spark plug.In the process of trying to get the plug boot off the plug the spring came out of the boot & the boot came off too.I can't find either one of 'em,so I figured no problem,I'll just take a plug wire off another Super 2,but what I need to know is does the coil wire unscrew from the coil? I tried like hell to unscrew the coil wire from the one that's on the saw now with no success. If need be I can get a new boot & spring, part # A-33055.

Points or electronic ignition? There both replaceable, but the electronic module, there sealed in, you must CAREFULLY cut the old one out. If the wire is good, I would just replace the spring and boot.

I agree, provided the wire is in good shape, just replace the spring and boot. They're the pieces that take most of the beating anyhow

I haven't really looked for the boot & spring.I'm sure that if I look hard enough I'll find them,or I'll just steal them from another saw that's in rough shape. Ed

Oregon Part 33-208 is a favorite of mine for the boot, available online for <$5 shipped, but then again I don't have a room full of saws

I found the boot today, but I doubt it was any good,it was all torn & disintegrating.I just took a boot & spring off an engine that I tore out of a case in the spring. Something I noticed between the two saws - the saw with the Zama carb has oil lines coming off the carb & then going to the bar pad.The saw with a Walbro carb has a totally different set up.You can't just swap out carbs on the Super 2's.You'd have to take half the engine apart to do so. If you have a local small engine shop you might get one there.I bought mine on either eBay or Amazon, can't remember which one.
