I got my ignition problem figured out a week or so ago and I could get the Homelite 350 to start and run on ether for a sec. but not on gas down the carb. Pulled it apart today and you guys were correct on the diagnosis of the rubber boot being bad. It was in about 4 pieces and pretty hard. I found a guy in Missouri that sells on Ebay the has the reproduction ones for the 350/360 and also for the 330. I have 2- 330's to fix also, one I bought new in 1986 and one a guy gave to me a while back. Here's some photos...
I would like to replace the rubber fuel line in the bottom photo since it's kind of hard, but can't see what it connects to. Maybe someone will know that's done one of these before?

Congrats Olddave on getting the saw to fire. That line is the impulse line. There's a barbed connector thats pressed onto the cylinder that it slides on and at the top it goes to the carb connecter for the impulse to drive the fuel pump. Normal fuel line is fine for replacement. Dan

Thanks Dan, got it pulled off and it was pretty stiff. New intake boot should be here today or tomorrow. Just have to get about 24" of new fuel line, pulse line and oil line for the old girl and she should be about ready to run. My youngest son called me this morning and wanted to know the part # of the boot for the 350. I gave it to him but he said it was an obsolete P/N and they didn't carry it but they sell to the place where I ordered it from in central Missouri. I need 2 intake boots for the 2 330's that I have at home and they have 136 of those in stock when I need them and he gets a heck of a discount on parts.

Thanks to all who gave their input on this problem. I got the intake boot replaced and it started on the second pull last Sunday. Haven't cut any wood with it yet, but it rev's up and seems to idle fine. Neat old saw...

Great to hear you got her up and running Dave. Love those 350/360s!
