Nice saw. According to the serial number, it was made on the 311th day of 1979, and was the 115th made that day.

That's great compression! Guessing you fixed the recoil then? XL is a great little saw, one of my favorites

That is very good compression, even more than the ideal 115-145 psi stated in the service manual.

Carburetor is a Tillotson HK27A.

RK-36HK would be the rebuild kit for your carb, looks like there are genuine OE ones on Amazon for around $10 if needed.
