Looks to me in the picture like one of the friction washers may be sitting on top of the "guts" but not sure. They do have a tedency to "twang" and fly across the shop when reassembling. Ask me how I know

Yes now i see what you mean. Rowdy you are right. One of the washers was on top of the "guts". So i think it is complete.
Fire it up later this afternoon.

It looks like the face of the starter cup is rubbing on the recoil pulley. You might check the stackup of parts under the starter cup to make sure that someone didn't put a washer under the cup. It should just have the screen clamped between the cup and the flywheel then a lockwasher then the nut. You need clearance between the cup and recoil pulley or it will rub while running.

After pulling too many times she fired up (carb rebuild mandatory) and she did well. Next time i will try to up load a small video. I have the following exhaust adapter. It is pointing up and makes a lot of noise. Is it mounted correct and is it the correct exhaust adapter?

I don't have a Zip but that looks pretty homemade to me.

The face of the starter cup.
Looks like it's rubbing on the recoil pulley. The part the rope is wound around.

The factory exhaust shown in the parts diagram points to the (edit: after looking more closely at the diagrams, pointing left is correct) left (as viewed from operating position). There are two different factory exhaust caps, one with a removable element and one with a screen made into it. Screen version cap: link Removable element cap: link and element: link
I agree with Jerseyhighlander, the one currently on it looks like a homemade cap.

That's the gist of it.

Yep, I'd guess somebody homemade that one. I don't see any issues with it though- pry as good as the oe exhaust. These saws do not have much of a "muffler" as previously mentioned

Ok, now it is time to take out the carb and clean. Is there a drawing that tells me how to take out the carb?

I've always used the "look at it, see what's holding it on and take it apart, method". It's pretty simple, just a few screws and a linkage or two.
Once you have it out & maybe before, take advantage of your digital camera. Take pictures from every angle & at every stage. In case you are confused during reassembly.
Tillotson does have some good literature on their web site to help with the rebuild.
