Apparently Joe is in the process of setting up his own online store. Whether he decided to upgrade his business after Chainsawr removed their Homelite decal pages or months before or after really isn't the issue. What is an issue is the previous emails to me and I suppose others for months promising to fulfill orders when that was not going to happen. Since by all information from Joe and others that he does this as a side job and in his spare time his recent email announcement that he is in the "process" of building an online website would seem to be digging deeper into the inability to fulfill orders, but it would serve for more time on those unfulfilled orders. I just don't know how he can say he does this as a side job and cant keep up, but now has time to build an online store and will get to orders soon. The real problem I have with this situation is honesty. I ordered the decals in March, if they weren't going to be made then I and others deserve to know the truth. I have had another company make the decals I'm looking for and quite frankly at this point it doesn't matter to me if Sugar Creek does come out with a new website because of the way in which business was conducted. Since no one else was making Homelite decals that I know of, all he had to do was say it was going to be a few months or a year before he was able to fulfill the orders and give me the opportunity to make other arrangements or wait. He failed to give me the information that would allow me to make alternative choices and that is unfair. Given all that I have decided to spend my money elsewhere, somewhere where honesty in communication is as important as the product. I do wish Joe and his new venture the best but from the past business practices I think the odds are long that this new venture solves the problem of decals orders not being fulfilled, I can only see it delaying the process further by adding another layer to the side business/hobby; building and running a website and making decals.

Sorry to hear of your bad experience with SCS. I ordered decals from chainsawr a couple months back for several saws (over 100 bucks worth) and I got them in 3 weeks. Did you get your money back? I can say that I didn’t get any notification from chainsawr or SCS when my decals were shipped, they just showed up. ( was mailed from SCS). It’s possible they got lost in the mail, I just can’t see taking that long to make decals.

I had the same experience as undee, I order decals for two saws and in about 3 weeks they were in the mail. I want to say on the website it said it may take a few weeks as they were made based on order. Either way I kind of expected a delay because I had heard some say it was taking a while to receive them.

It was the middle of March when I ordered mine, Id say that's more than a while, frankly I don't believe anything anymore. I had a similar experience with a seed seller with potatoes and several other accounts, now its Flickr and frankly, I am very close to deleting every account and leaving the internet. I cant deal with people that show no consideration or respect. Sorry about the rant, but alot of stuff has recently happened (not all here or with decals) that makes even collecting chainsaws not so fun anymore.

I hear you. I find so many people who misrepresent what they are selling. When enough people do the same, then they believe that is normal. That becomes the world we live in. If a site like this cannot handle pictures, it will be less valuable in the future, as i keep seeing other sites whose pictures are gone because they do not control them. It all becomes about money, Flickr and others that seem convenient now will cost more later when they have the power, and HOH does not. I give my pictures to HOH for the duration. Okay i am done ranting Dan

Its possible that SCS has some decals loaded and ready to print while others need to be drafted and tested. This could easily explain differences in lead times. It does not explain lack of communication. When I have ordered decals from Joe, things have gone well.

That’s what I would do. I took one for several years about a decade ago.

I have ordered decals in the past took 3-4 weeks to get them. I ordered XL12 decals that took longer when I emailed Joe he apologized for the delay and sent them out asap.

I have also emailed Joe recently and I think the change to his own site will be a good one. Once he does, we'll revamp his "storefront" here to reflect the new way of doing business. I understand the frustration of waiting, but I also understand the challenge of balancing a BIG hobby, "real" job and a life. Not to mention, Joe has never been anything but kind and respectful. As long as he's doing this, he has my business even if it takes a bit longer.
