Hi guys
I have a super xl 925 its hard to to pull the cord ...
When i take of the spark plug or the decompression valve it turn smoothly
But when i put them back it get hard to pull it
By the way iv cleaned the muffl .
Checked the carburatore
But i dont know what is the problem
Can anyome help ...

Lacking history, I'm assuming this has been your saw for a while at least and wasn't acting this way till recently?
Been using way too much motor oil in the fuel mix or bought it from someone that did?
Take the muffler off and look at the sides of the piston & cylinder walls. Any damage or excessive carbon buildup from too much oil in the mix?
Try cleaning the decompression valve.

Welcome to House of Homelite. If you can do a compression test see what you have. If the compression pressure is really high could be carbon buildup on the piston or cylinder top. As stated above.

Thnk you Well when i took the muffler iv seen that the piston a bit dirty have lole brow and black color And as i notice also there is somthing burnt on the top of the piston Ithought that the piston is ok |

Thank you for your responding Well i found it in the grage of my gf And she asked me if i can fix it to use it to cutesome woods... So i notice that the fuel was to dark like grenn dark color Iv mixed the fuel 1liter with 20ml of oil ... But i took off the carburator checked it . But even whene the carburatore is not attached its still hard so i thought that the problem its in the piston Or cylender When i took of the spark plug it turn smooth Also when i took of the decompression valve it run smooth I face a problem with a screw wont be open to get tp the cylender Can the engin turn on if the decompression valves off ?? If anyone have any video of disassembling it can link it hear pleas |

If you can post a picture of the saw or type in the UT number off the id tag it would help to get the correct information for your saw.

Welcome to the House of Homelite!
Your English is fine, no worries. Your oil ratio is 50:1, that should be fine if you are using modern 2 cycle oil for air cooled engines.
You are right about the carburetor, it will likely not effect the problem you describe, which sounds like too much compression.
With the decompression valve out or the spark plug out, you will have no compression thus the engine will not run. The decompression valve just decreases compression, does not eliminate it like removing the valve does.
Like clasec said, it sounds like you might have carbon build up in the combustion chamber causing high compression.
That is a big saw and could be hard to start with everything normal.
You might also have a "chip" in the ignition system that can cause hard starting. It is a small electronic device to replace the points and condenser. Often they are installed to eliminate the points as a trouble spot but they can advance the timing of the spark and cause hard starting.

This one is the three piece capacitive discharge style. One reason I asked for a picture is that his saw has a replacement cylinder which looks like a 923 with the decompression valve plugged and just wanted to make sure it had the 925 ignition. |

They don't have points, its a coil transformer coil generator and module. All electronic

I cant figure out why that jug is on that saw, it would seem much easier to find a SXL-925 jug than a 923 jug, unless sit was a old one found on a repair shop shelf. I don't care for Frankensaws, I guess if you built them yourself and knew what they were it would be different, but we have seen quite a few saws someone cobbled together and often times it is a detriment to reaping them.

You will want to make sure the rotor [flywheel] does not contact the steel part [core] as this will make it hard to pull also. |
