Welcome to the House of Homelite. We need a little more info on the model you are working on. Yes, most have check valves, some are on the fuel cap, others are on the tank itself.

it is a vl super 2 UT 105584 ser no. 790180093 . the fuel tank has a hose with filter and a small hole on the other side which had a small plug in it, i just poked it with a safety pin and it fell off inside tank. i was wondering if this was some sort of an air passage. i need to know a part no. for a duck bill check valve so i can use this. on the oil tank it has two hoses, the bottom one has a filter attached to it and the top hose is inserted about an inch with nothing attached which i think this would be a place to install a duck bill check valve. thanks.

i sure appreciate your quick response and lead me in the right direction. i did find a piece of tubing stuck on the botom. now i know where to look for parts. thanks again.
