That's nice one, got the felling dogs with it as well. That's the first thing I noticed, the felling dogs. I don't think Dad ever let a saw make it on the job with the dogs on it. I only have a couple saws with the original dogs and I bought them, Joe.

I always like to have the dogs to help protect the the fuel tank & drivecase paint...the ones without always look much worse in my experience!

I'd like to add a complete blue machine to the collection at some point. So far I have about 2/3 of a blue XL-1 in a box.

Didn't they make a blue EZ automatic oiler as well as the blue EZ manual oiler? Good question. I've spotted at least one that was blue and had an auto logo. Since the starter cover's interchange though, I have doubts this was really true, mainly based on literature. The EZ auto had many differences with the original non-auto EZ and all I've held in my hands, or seen pictures, were red. Doesn't mean there weren't some, but haven't seen the proof yet. Dan

Dan I think all EZ automatics were red and the EZ manual oiler saws were blue when they both came out in 1969, it says the blue EZ was 34.4cc and the EZ automatic was 37.6. Production of the blue EZ manual oiler was supposedly from 1969-1974, while the EZ automatic says 1969-1971. I do wonder if the blue EZ was actually sold up until 1974. BTW, the Super EZ Automatic was 40.9cc
