Hey now... You are having way too much fun. Another very unique piece. I've never seen that version either. I like it, now I gotta have one.
How big of a wheel does it take?

I believe that is what the "10" stands for, a 10" wheel. It looks like it is good shape, nice score!

I took off the muffler and the piston and cylinder are perfect. I always anticipate scored pistons and cylinders on this type of saw. It's funny, the parts washer solvent wouldn't touch the grime. Since there's no oil involved with it, it's cleaning up with a water-based cleaner.

I think Steve is finding every Homelite ever sold in Missouri Oh, I've left plenty of "seed stock" for others. I have been playing "enabler" to several of the local guys by giving them a heads-up on saw deals. I tried to hook a couple guys up on a 116cc Wright C-70 that would be a runner for $40 but no one bit. I've got 4 of them so I didn't really need another one. The Barker sign is another example. I let a couple of other Barker guys know about it and nobody pulled the trigger so after thinking about it, I gave the seller an offer that he agreed to and bought it myself.

I've only had and missed one opportunity for a C-70 here in NJ in all the time I've been looking.
Should you come upon another Wright C-70 in such good condition & that price range, feel free to buy it and send it to me. Let me know what I owe you before, after or somewhere in between.

I can do that because I trust the guys in this group to do what they say. I got stiffed a couple years ago by a guy that asked me to buy a Barker Rim Circle saw and ship it to him. I warned him that the shipping would high but he said that he wanted it regardless. I bought it and boxed it, I called him with the actual price of the saw and actual shipping and didn't add anything for handling. I never heard a word from him after that. I ended up selling it locally.

Quite the opposite, I WILL owe you and I will go out of my way to repay the favor if I can.
Shipping to my area usually runs between $30 & $40, depending on weight. If the saw can be gotten for $40ish or so, that is very reasonable for something that is just rare in this area for whatever reason.
One thing I enjoy about collecting saws in when you just happen upon one here or there and getting it for a really good price because the seller was just selling "an old saw" is great. For many things I'm fine with waiting a few years till a pleasant surprise presents itself. Kinda like the old saying, it's not the kill, it's the thrill of the hunt.

Yeah, I looked for the 3 Wright direct drive models for several years. Actually the C-70 was the easiest to find and the smallest (C-40) was the hardest.
