Hallo! could anyone of you tell me, how I will get access to the Tank on a X_900! (I want or better have to change the fuel line because it might be about 50 years and it also looks like this - so it might be dangerous! On the carburatorside it is very easy, but in the front the line disappears and I wonder, if I have to remove the engine? look at the picthanks Alex

You can do everything with the saw assembled. You just feed the hose in throught the side of the tank and out of the filler hole so that you can install the fuel filter; then drop it all back into the tank. I can't tell from the picture, is that section rubber hose? If so, your tank may already have a grommet and all you need is a new hose. Many of these saws had a hose/grommet combo in the tank that a steel pipe fed into.

Tanks! As I could not find anything in the repair manual I wonder whether there is space between the point I marked and the tank or not - so if I would take off the fuel line it could be than a problem to fix a new one! The old one is full of cracks and dangerous! p.s. I found a new bar (24" Sugihara), which was the last one in whole Europe with D095 mount!
