Stickers on the packages say they will. Anyone else got ideas on this?

That's my guess. Gosh the brain fog has gotten so thick, I don't think I should operate a saw, sure hope I get some relief soon.

Sounds like you need a new saw! I am getting a new saw, BrianVT is sending me a SEZAO, I'm going to stick with the Oregon 24 inch bar and LPX chain, I thinks that's plenty for my Super XL-925 and its quality stuff. I can get the combo for 87.00 shipped

I have used some of the Archer bars for smaller Husqvarna saws, they stand up reasonably well. I have NOS Winsor/sandvik and GB 20" hard nose for the large mount if you need any. I got 40 dollars in them.

The D176 mount bars have a very similar tail profile but have 5/16 bar slot instead of the 3/8 need for the later homelite saws. They work great for use on the old xl-12 super xl thigh the smaller stud . I have milled the D176 out to fit 3/8 studs with very little trouble ( got a good buy a a flee market).

I put an Oregon 30" bar on my XL924. I was using it to mill some smallish Poplar logs, and the whole bar isn't buried. I think they were about 20" logs. I also like to have the tip of the bar sticking out a little when bucking firewood. I usually use the FEL to put the logs on cross pieces to stay out of the dirt, but don't always. If I'm bucking 24" logs I like the 30" bar so I can see the far side better, Joe.
