Looks like Spaulding Equipment is now located in Clover, VA, 17 miles west of Chase City. Pretty slick, love it. :{)

Pristine shape, are you going to leave it out in the infamous west coast rain?

I like how the box tells you to empty the vial after each rain. That must mean "those" people were around even back then. By those I mean those that would need to be told to empty the rain gauge in order to get an accurate measure for the next rain. lol Super cool piece though

I like the wheel on top to keep up with totals. Very nice!

Pristine shape, are you going to leave it out in the infamous west coast rain? Nope, it will stay in the box until I have a proper cabinet to display it in. With my luck, a neighborhood cat would break the danged glass!

I would be inclined to screw either one to a wooden display base, with the box behind. :{)

Nice! Yours has the "ruled" glass, which is pretty cool! I buy and sell stuff on eBay, stuff I find at estate sales usually. I got 250.00 on eBay for a set of German binoculars I paid 2.00 for at an estate sale last month. Some stuff I keep, becasue after ebay, apypal, and shipping, there's not much left

Those type of advertising reminds us of simpler times. My parents did the same thing with desktop calendars mailed to their clients.

Nice! Yours has the "ruled" glass, which is pretty cool! I wonder if the glass in yours used to be ruled but for some reason the markings came off... How do you know how much rain there was?

Just got an idea Leon, Sweepleader claims that Spaulding Equipment is still in business. Find out what happened to their Homelite parts inventory.
