When I joined this website last month, I was looking for a Super EZ Auto. My brother said go to the scrap yard so I went to two local scrap yards and came home with 12 of them. Out of the 12 I now have 4 running. For some reason the old red and white EZ Auto became my favorite. I had to change tanks, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel line and filter, sparkplug, new bar and chain, rim sprocket, and three shoe clutch. I went out today with it and spent all day cutting and all I can say is WOW! It is so light and powerful that I can see it becoming my go to saw for just about any of the cutting that I do. I was cutting some old elm 2 foot diameter and the saw went through it like it was butter. Before I get too giddy I'll have to try it on some hedge, but that old elm was hard. I really enjoy fixing up old junk equipment and working with it, is there something wrong with me? Thanks to everyone who helped me out on the forum!

I really enjoy fixing up old junk equipment and working with it, is there something wrong with me? Yes, you have officially been diagnosed with CAD (Chainsaw Addiction Disease). The only treatment is to fix more saws. Glad the forum has been helpful to you and we look forward to hearing about your next projects!

I've been trying to talk the wife into helping me reassemble saws. She likes puzzles so I told her putting the saws back together is better than a jigsaw puzzle. I have a big box of parts that I have been putting my saws together out of in the evening in the living room. I think she is starting to show some interest after seeing how much fun I'm having with them. By the way everything is super clean and doesn't make a mess in the house, so she is ok with it. Love my wife!

I must say you've got a great wife! I can't imagine ether of my two ex's ever letting me bring a saw in the house to work on,although now that I'm wifeless I have three saws in the house now. It's the same with me though - the saw must be clean in orser to come into the house.I st at my kitchen table with papers put down on the table.I'm not talking about a complete tear down (although my 150 is pretty close Lol),usually a simple carb rebuild. I think you hit the jackpot when you went to the scrap yard - 12 saws! It's amazing what people will throw away, obviously they don't know what treasures they have. Now as for the SEZ's,even though they're only a 41 cc saw,I've heard of people putting 20 in.bars & chains on them & they handle it just fine because they have so much torque.I have one EZ (old) & four SEZ's,& I just bought another one for parts. I'm glad you're having fun,I know I am!
