Glad to see the 240 and 245 listed in a family group. Hope to see some posts about them.

Just picked a 240 along with 2 330’s, an xl, and a super 2. I’ll have some posts and videos once I get into them. I’ll post each under their respective groups.

I bought my 240 in 1985, cut 3 cords of wood the next 8-9 years. Never loaned the saw, it's in excellent condition, run great, I'm currently working on a low oiling issue. I'm going to try a new diaphragm, everything else appears to be OK, but I have never found a duck bill check valve on the saw. The saw won't start with the pulse line off of the pump, and I can pulse the pump and get oil to the bar, but the pump doesn't seem to hold vacuum or a small amount of pressure. If anyone has cured this type of problem I welcome the help. Thanks for the service manual.

By now it may be not letting air in oil tank, creating a vacuum and not letting the pump work.

Thanks Greg Underwood (Undee70ss) for posting this 240, 245 Service Guide! This is a FANTASTIC resource to compliment my owner's manual.
As just one silly example, for the life of me I couldn't previously figure out how to remove the manual oil pumper's plastic cap. Now I know!
