Yes, I have. There were different thread pitches used. Found this out on a Super EZ auto. Thanks, good to know.

I got my parts today. Big Thank you to Joyce for sending them out that quick. The blue rear handle I'm really happy with. I've watched every blue EZ rear handle listed on Ebay, and not one of them have had a serial number tag. So I was really glad that Joyce had a nice one with the tag. I also got a nice blue drive side case. The black air filter cover has a bend in the lower edge I don't think I can straighten without snapping it. I will keep this as a back-up. It's still usable. The main reason I'm bringing it up is the hold down nut. Its 1/4 20. Now by all the IPL's I've checked for all saws from EZ to Super EZ they use the same part number. The thread is suppose to be 1/4 28. Has anyone run across this problem.? I didn't realize this cover was for the saw that has different parts from different models. That could be your problem. Do you have the nut from your old cover to put on the cover I sent? But it is hard to remove the retaining ring without breaking the nut. chainsawlady

My air filter hold down bracket is 1/4 28 fine thread. My original blue air filter cover, that I'm replacing because it's damaged is 1/4 28 fine thread. So that is why it won't work. I don't know enough about these saws to know whether the EZ air filter nut is supposed to have coarse or fine threads. Every IPL I checked. EZ, EZ Auto, and Super EZ listed the same part number for the air filter nut, and one IPL listed it as 1/4 28 fine thread.
