Have Super EZ UT-104313 Lot No E7017 was my Wife's Grandfathers and has run like a scalded dog for years. Had problems that it would start and then die... was told the carburetor was shot and could not be repaired and no replacement.
Does anyone know if a replacement carburetor is available anywhere?

Welcome to the House of Homelite. I can't answer your question but someone here will, and I am sure that saw can be made to run top notch again. Hang on, your answer will be along soon.

What you have been told and and the truth may be two different things. Have you tried rebuilding the carb? Unless it has bad corrosion or something they can be rebuilt. New carbs show up every once in a while. You have numbers off of carb?

I think Leon or Joyce may have the kit, according to Homelite literature it uses the K10-HDC kit, available on eBay as well

Yeah I'm voting for a carburetor kit (I don't have one for sale, but as oologahan indicated, they are easy to come by on Ebay). Many shops don't want to mess with the older saws so they just tell the customer that it can't be fixed when the truth is usually far different.

Many shops whether they are chainsaw, mower, automobile or appliance shops are very hesitant to do repairs because if the repair fails it hurts THEIR reputation, but if they sell a new item the manufacturer is responsible for the warranty, plus they make a commision or profit on new sales, but not much on repairs. Cant hardly blame them, most of the time if the customer took care of the products the issue wouldn't arise.

Thanks, was not expecting an answer so quickly... I have been looking online for a repair kit but everywhere I went, that said they had the kit, when selected said not available. going to the wrong sites ...
will pull the carb this weekend to get the part number. When they offered me $75 for the 'un-fixable' chainsaw towards a plastic new one, I know something was up.

Super EZ’s use a Walbro HDC carburetor. This kit covers all the different models of HDC carburetors. The kit you want is Walbro K10-HDC. www.ebay.com/p/Genuine-Walbro-Carburetor-Repair-Kit-K10-hdc/1465286793?iid=180733086786

Pulled the carburetor top has Home lite 4.....21-109 on front bottom closest to handle 2 5-458 on right side face DieCast with H under it then hDCL4 and real small 10/76 those are the only numbers I can find ...
on the back side top left there is a small hole that has a screen not sure how you would get to it... tried to use compressed air to blow out but even with my glasses could not tell if was clogged or clean... under top plate another hole with a screen... same issue... age sucks...
undee70ss thanks for the link

I use a dental pick with a very sharp end. The carb kit will have a new one included.

If there was nothing wrong with the old screen, you could just clean it real good with carb cleaner & reinstall.I've done that to get by in a pinch.

That the screen turned to dust sounds like a condition of corrosion caused by ethanol. Ethanol free gasoline is a must in most small engines with alloy carburetors. Hope you accomplish a successful rebuild with your carb, it's satisfying to know you can get it done and done right.
