Hey guys, looking at a 990D that a guy on f/b might be parting with....says it has 200 psi and runs, but seems to lack a bit of power(to much expectation out of a 50 year old saw imop). Anyhow he's not to crazy about the saw. How much would be a good offer? Assuming shipping is the deal killer as usual....I'm gonna assume $100 on shipping as it has a decently long bar. I was going to offer $250 and see what he says.

Those early 900 series saws don't come up for sale very often. Condition is everything though. 250 for a runner would be a pretty good price.

Cool, It's a nice looking saw. I'm hoping it may just need some better tuning.

Sounds like it may need some tuning. I've got a 990D and it runs pretty strong..........and LOUD!

Ebay prices on those model saws can get out of control, so I'm glad it's on Facebook. I think your offer is fair, especially considering shipping.

If it was a 990G....maybe for a so-so 2100.... 3100, no way! The 900 direct drives aren't as cool as the gear drive models. Just personal opinion of course, but It'd have to be a really nice..... better to say super nice 990D to even consider it.

Yep, I'd say it would have to be basically NOS, which that saw is not. I saw the video on Ebay...definitely some carb issues. Not a bad saw at all, but not worth your 2100!

Dan I had a feeling, I've seen the 2100's go for a pretty penny...and this one runs like a champ.
