I have never run across this issue before. The PTO side crank seal was stuck and deep in the case bore and after trying all the usual methods I decided to pull the crankshaft out so I could drive it out from the backside. I didn't want to take any chances that the seal bore in the case would be damaged. It's a pretty nice example of an XL-76.
Ten minute job turns out somewhat longer. These are the jobs that are perfect for the retiree
I'll likely get back to it tomorrow if something doesn't come up. Crankshaft is in the freezer and I'll heat the case to make it a little easier to get the bearing back into the case.
Very well built saw looking from the inside out.
What site do you guys recommend for a free photo storage site?

I can do so over the phone as well with no foreign accent
