I know it doesn't quite belong herre, but t's close. The red model 500 was made in the early '60's & I didn't find any other place to post it.There's a model 500 (red) on Ebay, starting bid is $75 & it has no spark.I know this could be from a multitude of things - broken wire, dirty points, bad coil, etc.,but my question is -Is it worth $75?It looks to be in dercent shape.I noticed a screw missing from the recoil

If you want one for your collection and shipping isn't too high, I don't think it's a bad price.

If its worth it to you then yes it is. I traded an Elan 250 twin for 2 Zips, 1 that that wants to run. Same guy gave me 2 5oo's not long ago an I gave him 20 bucks. 1 wants to run and between the 2 I have enough parts to make a decent machine.

Anymore a saw's value is what you are willing to pay.....the 990 homelite I restored I bought for $600 in barn find condition. That was an Ouch for me, but when I dug into it and saw how good of shape it trul was in that turned into a not so bad....but far from a steal. lol I don't see myself paying that much for another one, but since I wanted one badly it was worth it.
